High maintenance costs or low reliability are typical reasons for a retrofit. Others include; OS update, SCADA software, PLC software, IT architecture, refrigeration systems, mechanical parts, or limited availability of critical spare parts.
A good example of a necessary upgrade is when current processes no longer comply with industry standards, for example the FDA or GMP guidelines, IT security policies, data management or new functionalities such as ATEX, sterilization and cleaning in place.
Our customers can find the best solution for his/her equipment in our complete retrofits & upgrades portfolio.
For us retrofitting or upgrading our equipment is a process, not a product. This process starts when our Sales or After Sales team is contacted by one of our customers and ends when the solution is implemented at the customer site. An upgrading or retrofitting project is often more critical than new equipment supply. A team for this type of project consists of many departments working together including Customer Services, Engineering, Quality and the Sales Team.
