Telstar Calibration Services are focused on helping you meet all your quality standards and business requirements.
Our highly trained technicians will support you by calibrating and repairing your instruments and equipment, providing you with the confidence and knowledge that the processes of your company adhere to all the company quality standards.
The Schedule team will consider your particular situation in order to arrange the calibration services whilst trying to reduce any impact on your organization.
We are aware that having access to your equipment for long periods of time is simply unacceptable.
Calibration certificates will be provided to you by access to a SharePoint Net which is strictly confidential allowing an easy access to all your calibration records including certificates, and a big save on time managing your calibration plan.
We are accredited as an approved calibration laboratory by ENAC (Entidad Nacional de Acreditación, www.enac.es), our registration number is 80/LC10.055, in accordance with standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025’s requirements. This is the only specific ISO standard for test and calibration laboratories. Its certified compliance by an Accreditation Organisation (such as ENAC), demonstrates that the laboratories have a quality system, are technically competent and capable of generating technically valid results. Moreover, complying with this standard implies fulfilling ISO9002 or ISO9001 standard requirements. However, standard ISO 17025 covers several technical requirements that are not covered by the aforementioned standards.
Therefore, the calibration of an instrument in an accredited laboratory ensures technical competence in the processes of performing measurements and obtaining results, control of the equipment to be calibrated from the moment of its arrival to its dispatch, and compliance with the requisite traceability to national or international standards. Furthermore, it reduces costs as a calibration supplier audit is not necessary.
ENAC accreditation ensures EA (European cooperation for Accreditation) traceability of the results of the calibration as the Telstar standards must be calibrated by an EA agreement signatory reference Laboratory.
Instrumentation calibration is undoubtedly one of the most important quality control aspects for any company. Fulfilment of the ISO 9000 quality standards requires this calibration to be strictly controlled, involving suitable planning, complete documentation and correct data processing, amongst other things. Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U.’s Calibration Laboratory offers all these services.
Accredited activities
The Particle Counter Calibration Laboratory is accredited by ENAC with accreditation num. 80LC/10.055 in the 0.27 µm to 5 µm range to Particle size and in the 0,3 µm to 0,5 µm to Particle concentration. To carry out this type of calibration, the Laboratory has two calibration procedures, (TP001 & TP002) internal Laboratory documents covered by the ENAC accreditation, specifying all the steps to be followed to calibrate Particle Counters in Air or CPA. Carrying out this type of calibration begins with standard size particle suspensions certified by an accredited laboratory. It consists of determining the minimum voltage threshold of a counter to calibrate aerosol suspensions containing monodispersed particles of a known size. By this method, the ratio between the particles size and the signal detector output voltage of the equipment to be calibrated is determined. When this ratio is determined, the procedure to determine the particle size is applied starting with the voltage – particle size ratio.
Vacuum Calibration Laboratory is accredited by ENAC with accreditation num. 80LC/10.055 in the range of 1.10-3 hPa to 1300 hPa. The Laboratory has two calibration procedures, (TV001 and TV002), internal Laboratory documents covered by the ENAC accreditation, specifying all the steps to follow for vacuum indicator calibration. Calibration for vacuum is carried out by direct comparison with a carefully controlled and calibrated pressure gauge. The reference pressure gauge is a Reference Metrology Laboratory diaphragm pressure gauge.
Equipment calibration service focused to different industrial sectors performed in our internal laboratory facilities.
All calibrations are supported by a certificate with metrological traceability.
Calibration in Laboratory Capabilities:
The calibration process in Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U.’s Laboratory satisfies the most comprehensive working procedures, which guarantee that a client’s equipment is treated with great care.
Equipment reception: the equipment to be calibrated is received in Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U’s Logistic Center. On arrival, the warehouse personnel assign it a unique ID to avoid any confusion. Warehouse personnel notify the Calibration Laboratory of the arrival of the equipment to be calibrated and take it to a dedicated area.
Calibration: laboratory personnel pick up the equipment and take it to the laboratory where it will be kept with a stable temperature and position for a minimum of 8 hours before calibration. Calibration is carried out in Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U’s Calibration Laboratory under controlled environmental conditions. Duly identified and controlled reference standards are used during calibration. Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U’s calibration procedures are internal calibration documents that specify the steps to follow to perform calibration and the subsequent issuing of results. A calibration certificate is issued for each piece of calibrated equipment to the specifications required by ENAC.
Dispatch: Azbil Telstar Technologies, S.L.U’s Logistic Center dispatches the calibrated equipment. Special care is taken when packaging since this equipment is extremely susceptible to damage.
